Ildephonce Mkama is een junior geleerde op het gebied van gesproken en gesigneerde talen. Hij behaalde zijn BA (Ed) en MA (Linguistics) aan de St. Augustine University of Tanzania tussen 2009 en 2013. Sinds 2013 werkt hij samen met Aartsbisschop Mihayo University College en momenteel promoveert hij op Dove Communicatie aan de Wits University Johannesburg-Zuid-Afrika.
