This book assessed the challenges and opportunities of housing policy and residential real estate development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia .The book shows that the current housing policy of Ethiopia allows for involvement of real estate developers in producing houses, however, out of the total real those developers, only few of them are active. Even though the housing policy of the country allows real estates developers to construct houses with different market prices and to participate in shelter delivery , they are only focusing for high income groups of the dwellers. Despite the attempts made to provide houses, the problem of housing remains acute and aggravated in the city.
