The story is set in a real historical context involving a crowded theater of events, scenes and characters: the Italian and Austrian Secret Services, the high commands of the Italian army, the world of Air Force of the time, the irredentists from Trentino, the first reception and transmission centers of radio telegraph, as well as the places where the events of the story narration, took place: Venezia, Villaviera, Trento, Rovereto, Levico Terme, the highland of Sette Comuni, the outposts where our forces faced the enemy. The photographic appendix "The faces, places and the facilities of the story", provide the reader with the help to identify itself in the story, while comes closer to the actual reality in a more effective way.
