North-Eastern states of India comprise of eight sister states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim. These states are among the most neglected and underdeveloped states in India and are usually referred to as the peripheral states. In the absence of adequate economic development among these states, the out-migration for the purpose of education and employment has grown over the last decade.
