Hector Scerri, geboren 1965 in Malta, 1993 zum Priester geweiht, ist Professor für Dogmatische Theologie an der Universität von Malta, wo er seit 1998 lehrt. Stellvertretender Dekan der Theologischen Fakultät, Vorsitzender der Ökumenekommission der Diözese Malta und Vorsitzender von "Christen gemeinsam in Malta". Konsultor des Päpstlichen Rates für die Einheit der Christen, Vatikan.
