HCC cases are also increasing in the developed countries. Hepatocellular stands at fifth in men as the most prevalent liver cancer and seventh in females. Every year an addition of 748,000 new cases of HCC are recorded. According to the statistical data collected from all over the world, HCC stands third as the cause of cancer associated deaths. The risk factors for HCC include Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, alcoholism, obesity, diabetes, aflatoxins, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The diagnosis is made on the basis of certain imaging techniques. Treatments include surgical resection and liver transplantation.
