Andrew Waters is an author, editor, and conservationist. He is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill (B.A. in English and Psychology) and UNC Greensboro (MBA), and is currently working on his Ph.D. in Parks & Conservation Area Management at Clemson University. He is the author of The Quaker and the Gamecock: Nathanael Greene, Thomas Sumter, and the Revolutionary War for the Soul of the South (Casemate), a study of the relationship of Nathanael Greene and Thomas Sumter during the American Revolution. He is also the editor of Battle of Cowpens: Primary & Contemporary Accounts (Regiment Press), a collection of first-person narratives and contemporary histories of the famous South Carolina battle won by Daniel Morgan.
