The book is an attempt to examine and evaluate the English Textbooks of Engineering colleges in Rayalaseema districts of Andhra Pradesh and also analyze the First year B.Tech, Annual Examination Question Papers of English with special reference to JNTUA, SVU and SK University. The Primary motivation for this book was the practical problems encountered among the Second Language learners of English in Engineering colleges of Andhra Pradesh and the students have come from different backgrounds of the medium of their study and their families. They have to face many problems in effective communication such as linguistic and socio-economic and the prescribed English Textbooks for different Universities. Hence, the technical communication of students at this level is a challenging task. The present work was undertaken against the above backdrop. The result is in the form of a book. This study provides a framework of Common Core English Syllabus for Engineering as a Model. This book is divided into 8 chapters followed by Bibliography.
