The growth and development of a country's economy depend greatly on tourism. State and country are included. India is a distinctive nation that draws travellers from all around the world. The current study examines the development and growth of the tourism industries in the "Land of Gods" and "Land of Snowy Mountains." One important industry that supports the nation's economic growth is the tourism state. It makes up about 6.6 per cent of the GDP of the state. The current research is conducted to examine the state's tourism industry's expansion and development between the years of 2003 and 2016. The study is secondary and descriptive in nature. SWOT Analysis was used to derive the study's conclusions. In their investigation, the researchers concluded that one important activity that aids in the expansion and development of a state's economy is tourism. They, too, demonstrate that it stimulates the economy of Himachal Pradesh, a hilly state.
