A critical examination of International Law on a possible Humanitarian Intervention without a Security Council authorisation will be discussed throughout this academic research with specific reference on post 90s crisis. It highlights the Responsibility to Protect norm, sovereign states behavior in relation to their domestic jurisdiction, international human rights law and critically evaluates the Security Council's actions taken towards its aim, to maintain international peace and stability.
