This study comprises six major chapters, each of which focuses on an individual Vera text, and these texts are discussed in their order of publication. The conclusion looks at Vera's narrative technique, an aspect of her writing that has not been fully addressed by critics so far. The book should prove extremely useful to students of Literature, Stylistics, Anthropological, Cultural and Gender Studies, particularly those in senior secondary schools, colleges and universities.

Dr Majahana John Lunga was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe''s second city. He has a doctoral degree in English from the University of South Africa and has vast experience as a teacher of both English Language and Literature, having taught for many years in Zimbabwe and Botswana. Currently Dr Lunga teaches degree courses in English in Namibia.
