'An illustrated radiology book for medical students' is primarily meant for radiology students as well as medical students in their clinical posting. The book focuses mainly on conventional radiology, viz. Plain x-rays,contrast studies like barium, intravenous urography. This conventional radiology is fast vanishing due to modern imaging techniques like ultasonography, CT scan,MRI scan. From my past thirty three years of my teaching profession, I strongly believe that a good understanding of basic conventional radiology would go a long way in utilising the current modalities properly. What is found in USG,CT,MRI are also found in conventional radiology, only our eyes are not able to decipher it. In this age of Ultrasonography, CT scans and MRI scans ,conventional radiology has still a major role to play ,in diagnosis and patient management. I strongly believe that a good understanding of basic conventional radiology would go a long way in utilising the current modalities properly. For the past thirty three years of my teaching profession, An attempt has been made to make this book simple and reader-friendly .
