It is anticipated that research into the compositional values of Chen's vocal works and promotion of her art songs will spark new exploration of contemporary women composers' works. Wen Zhang, DMA in voice from University of Nevada in Las Vegas, EdM in music education from Teachers College of Columbia University in New York, and MM in voice from University of Western Ontario in Canada, is an Assistant Professor of Voice at Dillard University in New Orleans. She has published articles on the Journal of Singing in America.
