C. E. Shannon's pioneering work on mathematical theory for digital communications in 1948-49, the subject of channel control coding has emerged as a powerful and practical means of achieving efficient and reliable communication of information in a cost effective manner. Suitability of numerous error control schemes in digital transmission systems, wire line and wireless, has been studied and reported in detail in this book. This book attempts to cover some of the fundamental and important concepts of channel coding, need of channel coding, different methods and techniques such as Liner block codes and Cyclic codes. This area is getting very much importance in a current scenario of communication engineering and technology.
