Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry been requested to revisit the procurement and delivery process of construction upon Latham (1994) and Eagan (1998) reports. Those calls tried to re organize the process of construction industry since it has been highly criticized. In response to those wake up calls, the shift began the journey to Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) as a new procurement model, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean construction as two major process developments. These three paradigms are regarded to overcome those criticism caused by weakened delivery process, lack of innovation, non-achievement of value for money, and fragmented nature of the industry. A revolutionized software technology, the BIM, is playing major role in successful achievement of IPD along with lean principles. This book investigates the effectiveness of existing project delivery methods and distinguishes the benefits of BIM when adopted. Further, it demonstrates theneed for solid mechanism, framework, and legal instrumentals through major industry players.
