This book was thought out and prepared with the objective of offering you a guide and support for practical classes in primary and secondary education, bringing as an object for experimentation an anaerobic biodigester, which will be made and handled by you, the teacher, in conjunction with your students, and with this practice will address various science contents, such as: matter, its properties and transformations, energy and energy transformation, biogeochemical cycles, etc. The dynamic application of this work is based on a CTSA (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) perspective, and also on teaching through problem solving and maker, which are forms of teaching present in active methodologies, aiming to offer students greater autonomy in the construction of knowledge.
