This work describes the basic concept and gives interesting results of the Dual Fluid Reactor (DFR), which is a Gen-IV reactor design based on the previous molten salt reactors and lead cooling reactors. The concept of the DFR was proposed by IFK, Berlin, and studied at Technical University of Munich. Various calculations on the reactor physics and thermal-hydraulic behaviour are carried out, and the evaluation of the concept was given based on the results.
