The present book reveals a global and strategic perspective of viewing the performance in business. Any manager needs to acknowledge the ways in which the performance in business can be measured and also achieved. The classical approach of measuring the business performance only through its financial dimension is now replaced by a modern approach in which managers needs to maximize the financial results only by maximizing the interests of all stakeholders, protecting environment and creating general happiness. The modern governance of the companies is dominated by the following concepts: economic, social, environmental, governance and the geocentric behavioral patterns. The main role in improving the business performances of some internal factors such as human resource, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility are also analyzed. Further, the external PEST (political, economical, socio-cultural and technological) factors are described and exemplified as another category of factors by which any strategic analysis could be implemented. The work is accompanied by various case studies that support the theoretical aspects presented.
