In order to complete our training and improve our knowledge acquired at university level with the industrial reality of production units, an internship and an end-of-study dissertation to affirm our knowledge and acquire an industry mindset. This work includes a general study of the vertical axis centrifugal pump including the maintenance of this pump which is manufactured to convey fluids in the production and economic enterprises. To remedy this problem, we must start from the following definition of maintenance "maintenance is production at optimal cost), we have tried to propose a maintenance plan (corrective and preventive). In order to improve the maintenance of the shipping pump, condition-based preventive maintenance is planned, using the pump analysis technique. The choice of this maintenance is justified by the vital role of the pump. This end-of-study internship allowed us to apply our theoretical knowledge acquired during our university course. In the end, we hope to be up to the task assigned to us.
