Recently, there have been emerging demands to analyse the function of genes from the gene expression profiles. DNA microarray is one of the most powerful tools, which enables the expression profiling of thousands of genes simultaneously. It has also proven to be an extremely valuable tool to efficiently utilize the enormous amount of information provided by the completion of numerous genome projects. Data clustering analysis has been widely applied to extract information and also to identify groups of genes or samples displaying a similar expression profile. In this experiment we have used the Affymetrix microarray Technology which is also known as GeneChip microarray. By using this Technology I have written this work on rice gene expression. In my book I have tried to find out which genes are regulated by cold stress, the genes that are affected by cold stress. The method is based on a generalized linear model. Several statistical tests have been done for the analysis and simulated datasets are used to show that the method performs substantially better than other common methods in the field. We have also used Hierarchical Clustering method to get the pattern of the unknown gene.
