Analysis of ten different turmeric powder samples revealed that, the turmeric powder samples 8 and 9 have highest curcumin content ie. 2.96 % and 2.73 % respectively. Whereas, turmeric powder samples 3 and 5 have the least ie. 1.19% and 1.69 %. Curcumin displays both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, a potential to be considered in the development of chemopreventive strategies and applications.
