This book deals with the development of five different building types: mosque, madrasa, caravanserai, bath, and tomb. Each type of building is analyzed in a different chapter by different authors. The first emergence of these buildings and how they have changed and developed over time are emphasized. A literature review is conducted on the plan and façade features of the analyzed buildings and the materials used, and a typological evaluation is made. This study, which examines how these buildings, which have an important place, especially in Islamic architecture, were handled in different cultures and at different times, is an important source for experts working in this field.
