This book aims to analyze the development of Environmental Education in public schools around the Montanhas do Tumucumaque National Park in Amapá State, Brazil. With a quantitative and qualitative approach being an exploratory and descriptive study. The unit of analysis were centered on the teaching practice, with the transversality of the theme according to guidelines of the National Curriculum Guidelines, and the environmental perceptions proposed by sustainable development. The results show that the pedagogical practice of teachers and managers are neither effective nor satisfactory, since their practices do not match the environmental actions and continuous learning tasks. Thus, they do not have transformative and continuous pedagogical practices compatible with the flows of learning and expected, demonstrating a lack of attitudes to innovation in the daily exercise, which really provides a change that favors the cognitive aspects of students aimed at environmental sustainability, with a healthy and ecologically correct environment.
