Autorenporträt
Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology and Director of the Amity Institute of Biotechnology and Amity Institute of Integrative Sciences and Health, is a former Professor and Dean of the School of Life Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where he served for nearly 40 years in various capacities, which included Chairman of Molecular Medicine and Rector (Pro-Vice-Chancellor) of the University. Holding a Ph.D. from the Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, Prof. Prasad has also served as a visiting professors at several international universities and institutes in Belgium, Spain, USA; Germany etc. Prof. Prasad is a recipient of the Royal Society Commonwealth Bursary, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellowship, and DFG-Mercator Professorship. He has also served as a European Commission Focal Point Coordinator, Research Ambassador for Germany, and Vice President of the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi (2013-16). He is currently President of Society of Biological Sciences (India) He is a leading molecular mycologist and has conducted trend-setting research in the area of antifungal clinical drug resistance. Dr. Ashutosh Singh is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Lucknow, after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, Stony Brook University, New York, USA. He holds a Ph.D. from the School of Life Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and was a  ASM sponsored visiting research fellow at the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center, Division of Biology, KSU, Manhattan, USA. Dr. Singh has received many national and international fellowships and awards, including the ASM Young Ambassador to India and is an active member of several scientific societies in his field. His current research focus is on lipid metabolism and fungal pathogenesis.
