This work describe new electrometric methods for the determination of the antidepressant drug, sertraline hydrochloride. membrane, coated wire and chemically modified carbon paste sensors sensitive for sertraline hydrochloride were constructed. They were constructed and fully characterized. Each sensor was applied to the potentiometric determination of the drug cation in the pure form and pharmaceutical preparations. Conductimetric measurement for the solubility product, entropy, enthalpy and free energy change of the formed ion-associates were carried out. The drug concentration was also determined by conductimetric titration.Surface analysis of membranes were carried out using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM).
