The rapid development of laparoscopic techniques after their introduction in surgical practice at the end of the 80s and beginning of 90s of XXth century brought about a conceptual revolution in surgery. There is virtually no operation in the field of abdominal surgery, which cannot be realized by laparoscopic means. An increasingly bigger set of different laparoscopic techniques for performing operative interventions is at the disposal of both surgeon and patients.
