For this, the self-beauty devices distributed and managed by official malls among those released in Korean market for 5 years from 2012 to 2017 were chosen, excluding medical devices. This study was performed through analysis of previous studies on diverse beauty devices such as 'current use of aesthetic devices and their improvement plan', 'development of aesthetic device design' and 'satisfaction with aesthetic devices'. Based on the studies on the 4th industrial revolution-based beauty industry trends, there was in-depth analysis on self-face care devices. To analyze the characteristics of self-face care devices and their implementation, their current situations and social trends were investigated. After that, theoretical and empirical reviews were performed by referring domestic and foreign books, journals, papers and reports. In terms of the empirical review, the performances and effects of beauty devices were analyzed after extracting physical and conceptual elements from basic data and previous studies. After going through a series of collection, survey, analysis and evaluation, the results of the implementation were acquired by applying intense reasoning-based abduction.
