This report deals with the diagnosis of the influence of urban growth in the area of the former Kwacena market in Tete City and the environmental impacts that this growth has on the water resources of the Nhartanda aquifer system. In view of this situation, monitoring of physical and chemical parameters was carried out to assess the quality of the groundwater in the Nhartanda aquifer system. Mário Lourenço Cássimo was born in the city of Nampula, in the province of Nampula (Mozambique). He is a Hydraulic Engineer and HST Technician. During primary and secondary school he was an activist for the bizz generation and the environment.
