The problem of processing information during the election period is a major challenge in the Congolese media landscape. Indeed, during this period, each press organization seeks to position itself according to the political tendencies present (government, opposition or independent) to better sell its publications and methodically encourage the population to vote for the candidate of their choice. Based on this observation, our scientific gaze is focused on the newspaper Le Phare to really inquire whether it is close to the opposition, to power or independent. Thus, this article introduces readers to the candidate supported by this newspaper, between Joseph Kabila and Etienne Tshisekedi and for whom he invited readers at the time to vote. However, its Editor and Director of publication did not stop declaring that this newspaper is independent. It should be noted that this research is part of the theories and models of press information processing, discovered by D.M. White, MaxwellMc Combs and Donald Shaw.
