The last few years were difficult for the Tunisian tourism sector. The latter has gone through its biggest crisis since its establishment in Tunisia and because of the events that followed January 14, 2011: unstable political climate, security slippage, civil war in Libya, etc.. The tourist activity is penalized by factors which are not of its competence and independent of its will. This is primarily the security problem. Despite efforts and progress in this area, Tunisia can not get rid of this image of unsafe country and the unease of insecurity that prevails.
