Consequently, competitive strategies have become necessary in order the companies to differentiate themselves from their competitors in the market. The specific project analyses and describes the key competitive strategies of grocery retailers in United Kingdom paying particular attention on the case study of Tesco. Porter's Five Forces analysis and Generic Strategies model and Bowman's Strategy clock are the competitive tools that have been used to this project.
