The state-of-the-field in analytical techniques and instrumentation for therapeutic drug monitoring Therapeutic drug monitoring plays a critical role in today's individualized medicine. Designed to serve the needs of pharmacologists, toxicologists, and all other allied health professionals involved in the development, use, or monitoring of pharmaceuticals, this compilation of summarized analytical methods, drawn from the published literature, gathers together structured monographs on 511 different drug entities detailing 964 different analytical methods. This book is unique because it contains analytical methods including not only high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), but also gas chromatography (GC), immunoassay, electrophoresis, and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC). The authors include summaries in detailed text format, providing the readers with a thorough description of method validation. This book is not intended to be a "how to" book of drug analysis in human biological matrices, but rather a sourcebook for knowledgeable analysts skilled in analytical techniques such as HPLC, UHPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, immunoassay, and electrophoresis. With detailed summaries, Analytical Methods for Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Toxicology may help analysts find suitable, previously validated analytical methods, thereby avoiding lengthy literature searches.
