The assessment of the theoretical strength of cracked bodies is basically a problem of the Mathematical theory of fracture. This book aims to present simple, elegant & closed form solutions for both isotropic and orthotropic elastic plates containing cracks, based on the special mathematical technique and linear elastic fracture mechanics principles. Effective solutions for fracture parameters are presented.
