Gordon Reid is a country boy at heart. Born in Swan Hill, Victoria, he has lived in Balranald then in Junee, both in NSW. Also in Hamilton, Victoria. Worked in journalism for thirty years, then retired and wrote history, but now concentrates on fiction. He holds PhD degrees in both History and English. A widower, he has two daughters.
