The Dodds/Dodson line married into the Powhattan Tribe and are descended from Chief Opecavcanough who played an important part in Colonial history, creating a lasting treaty between the Powhattans and the white men. Cousin to Pocahantas, daughter of Chief Wahunsenacawh Powhattan, the family creates a mosaic of ethnic and cultural groups. On the Welsh side of the family, even more spectacular, is the ancestor Sir Henry Morgan, pirate of Buccaneer, privateer for the King of England whose antics were world reknown. Diana Muir has been a professional genealogist since 1975 when she was accredited by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, while a student at BYU. Since then she has published more than 50 family genealogies as well as for Presidents Biden (and his wife), Former President Trump and Madame Vice President Kamala Harris. She lives in Boston and is currently working on vetting the journals of Prince Henry Sinclair, her 23rd great-grandfather.
