Dominik Perler, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Basle (Switzerland), specializes in medieval and early modern philosophy. His publications include Der propositionale Wahrheitsbegriff im 14. Jahrhundert (1992), Repräsentation bei Descartes (1996), and Occasionalismus. Theorien der Kausalität im arabisch-islamischen und im europäischen Denken (with U. Rudolph, 2000).
