Autorenporträt
Paradise A. Mingo was Born in Washington, DC to Laverne Mingo and Robert Lindsey. At the tender age of 6, Laverne felt it would be best to relocate to Florence, South Carolina. Florence provided the opportunity to start fresh and provide Paradise with a safe environment to grow. Unfortunately, the move to Florence did the exact opposite with her moms consistent drug use, it exposed Paradise to domestic violence, sexual, mental and emotional abuse and the unfortunate reality of mourning her mother's death at the age of 13. Although her childhood was not easy, at the age of 16, Paradise became a single mother to a son. Using her past and her new found love for her son, she found the motivation to complete high school, pursue college and become an author. Using her story as a foundation to build a legacy not just for herself but in memory of her loving mother and her amazing son. Paradise rather be classified as a victor than a victim and thru her story you will see just how she does that. She wants her story to be seen as tool, to motivate, encourage and empower people who may struggle with life and to remind everyone without a test there is not a testimony. Today at the age of 24 Paradise is a single parent, who is committed herself to raise her son to be exactly who God created him to be. She is very active with the Autistic Community in honor of her son. She lives every day to ensure her and her mother are proud of her. This book is for them and anyone else who may struggle thru life. God will never take us where his grace cannot protect us and his mercy does not cover us.
