He started his career on local newspapers, which provided him with his first opportunity to write about weird and wonderful news, and he has gone on to work for a broad range of publications often focusing on human interest stories. He is also the author of two books, Remarkable Football Grounds and R emarkable Rugby Grounds, which were both shortlisted for Best Illustrated Sports Book of the Year 2024.
