Autorenporträt

Lavern Moore Bishop was born and raised in Tennessee. Her love of writing blossomed at the age of nine when she entered a poetry writing contest at school and won giving her the opportunity to read the poem in front of the whole school. From that moment on she had a love of the written word. Lavern relocated to Illinois at the age of 21 where she lived and worked for more than 51 years. She retired from the Illinois Department of Human Services after 37 years of service as a Casework Supervisor. She currently resides in Texas with her husband of more than 51 years along with her family and beloved grandson.
