James Rogan is a former gang murder prosecutor in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, Majority Leader of the California Legislature, and a congressman. As a freshman member of the House Judiciary Committee, he was chosen to help lead the prosecution and impeachment of President Bill Clinton, which is the subject of his second book, Catching Our Flag. He serves currently as a judge of the Superior Court of California and is an adjunct law professor
