Autorenporträt
Phil is the youngest of six kids. He grew up in a farm environment where he stomped on grapes with bare feet to make wine. He and his family immigrated to America from a small town in Sicily, Italy. He had a challenging time learning the English language but succeeded with the help of his Italian friends. His Italian first name was Felice, which other kids made fun of and said it was a girl's name, so he legally changed it to Philip when he became a US citizen. Phil served his country honorably in the US Air Force as a technician on Fighter Jets. He has lived in Las Vegas, Iran, Greece and England. In 1981, Suny College at Old Westbury NY, published five of his poems in their "VOICES" Literary Magazine. Phil and his wife Anna love to travel, swim in crystal clear waters and have exotic drinks on the beach. On October 27, 2023, Phil's poem "Asylum" was published in the "Long Island Haunts" Anthology Book, by- James P. Wagner. Phil's book "Andre Learning Hair Styling" was chosen as a finalist in the 2023 Best Book Awards. Phil is currently adding to his poetry collection and writing a sequel to "Andre Learning Hair Styling."
