Andreas Nödl is an Austrian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League. Nödl played two seasons with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League before moving on to the St. Cloud State University Huskies after being drafted in the second round, 39th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. In his second season with the Stampdede, he led the team with 59 points in 58 games. Coincidentally, Nödl is not the only Austrian-born player to play for the Stampede Thomas Vanek, now of the Buffalo Sabres, spent three years with the club. Kristof Reinthaler also played a year for the Stampede and Patrick Divjak currently plays for the Stampede. After starting the 2008 09 NHL season with the Flyers' farm team, the Philadelphia Phantoms, Nödl was called up to the NHL on October 21, 2008
