Coincidentally, Nödl is not the only Austrian-born player to play for the Stampede Thomas Vanek, now of the Buffalo Sabres, spent three years with the club. Kristof Reinthaler also played a year for the Stampede and Patrick Divjak currently plays for the Stampede.
