Placenta accreta can be the cause of severe hemorrhage resulting in significant maternal mortality and morbidity. The management of placenta accreta involves two difficulties: its diagnosis with the help of ultrasound/doppler and/or MRI, and its adequate management of a possible hemorrhagic shock state and its harmful consequences.
