Placental insertion anomalies are a rare but growing cause of postpartum hemorrhage, the management of which is not clearly codified.the occurrence of placenta accreta is the consequence of an abnormal invasion of the placental villi in the myometrium. The term "placenta accreta" is often used in a general way to designate 3 anatomical varieties, depending on the degree of invasion of the villi: accreta vera, increta, percreta. Placenta accreta can be the cause of severe hemorrhage resulting in significant maternal mortality and morbidity. The management of placenta accreta involves two difficulties: its diagnosis with the help of ultrasound/doppler and/or MRI, and its adequate management of a possible hemorrhagic shock state and its harmful consequences.
