Angela Tewksbury was a mystery writer. Twelve of her novels had been published, several of them best sellers. As she attempted to get started on number thirteen, she realized she was bereft of new ideas. Could it be that she was suffering from triskaidekaphobia, fear of the number thirteen? She decided to ask Pittsburgh private investigator Magro Heff and his comely assistant, Kneesa Thighson, for help. She invited them to her home in Williamsburg, Virginia, hoping to get some ideas for a fictional story based on some of the cases they had been involved in. Their input helped her get started, but as she wrote, her story and her life encountered unforseen problems. Would book number thirteen be the victim of triskaidekaphobia? This is the second in a series of Magro Heff mysteries.
