Dogs are more my thing. So, of course, when I find a stray pit-mix in the woods with a torn ear and bite wounds, I have to help it. However, it's not exactly friendly...yet. I believe I can win it over before animal control gets involved. But when my friends River, Joey, Devon, and I unearth dog bones with out-of-state dog tags, it hurls us into a race to unlock the mystery before more dogs end up the same. We highly suspect dog fighting, but Joey-a foster kid with his own traumatic past-and I are both already living with nightmares. The last thing we need is more heartbreak or danger from dog-killing criminals. But...we can't give up on dogs that need us. And we won't.
