G Allen Grootboom PhD is a trained psychologist in South Africa. He is also a politician and educator. He has written a Self Help book: Taking the Face Off - The masks that separate us. He has also published poetry in his native tongue. Dr Grootboom is a Ford Fellow and was a visiting scholar at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).
