Autorenporträt
Known as Grandma Atha, Shirley Swigart Atha was born on a farm near Troy, Ohio, where she and her siblings learned the value of animals. Educated in small country schools, she graduated from high school in 1956 as a member of the National Honor Society. Shirley married, worked full time, and helped raise three children while attending night college classes. Before retiring she worked thirty-eight years as a technician in a factory making electric motors. Shirley lived in Ohio for 63 years before moving to Florida. In 2008, her husband of 53 years passed away. Shirley lived in Florida until 2020, when she joined her family in Montana. She lives with a daughter and son-in-law; one of her grandsons with his wife, two children, four dogs and a cat. Grandma Atha has four grandsons who have given her nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Grandma Atha wants all children to remember Angel.
