Misinformation abounds relative to the true nature of angels. This is a book of free verse poetry based upon the true role of angels as told in the Holy Bible. Angels are messengers of God. They are not to be worshiped. To Christians, only Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit are to be worshiped and glorified. But, there is a mystique surrounding angels. They certainly are not little chubby babies with wings or other silly caricatures given to them by our civilization. The Scriptures tell of their mighty power and feats as they have protected God's people throughout history. When one angel can kill one-hundred and eighty-five thousand Philistines in one night, that is a story that is unbelievable, and brings to mind imagery that can be poetic. Angels may also be kind and tender as Gabriel who announced the births of John the Baptist and Jesus. This, too, shows that angels may elicit a kind of gentle poetry at times. But whatever their actions, they always carry out the demands of God without question. Because many angel stories appear in the Scriptures, poetic expressions are written herein about their roles and actions. This book of poetry is based on Scriptures and not fantasy. It is very educational and inspirational to those who want to know more about angels and the Bible.
