He has studied Fine Arts at Vanier College in St. Laurent, Quebec and is now a professional student at Concordia University in Montreal, enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English Literature. He is also following two Minors in Interdisciplinary Study Programs: one in Film Studies and one in Sexuality Studies. At the speed of his studies he will graduate when he is 77 years old. Gregg started writing poetry at the age of ten, dabbling in journalism at the age of sixteen and a published poet and journalist by the time he graduated from high school at the age of eighteen. His journalism experience came in handy when he was appointed Special Reporter for the Link at Concordia University in 1995. That same year his first play, Two Goodbyes, was performed in Montreal starring Geraldine Doucet (Snapshot Productions), Tony Calebretta (Plateau Productions) and directed by Terry Donald (Centeaur Theatre). For the past thirty years he has volunteered in the AIDS community as a counsellor, a member on numerous local, provincial, national and international Board of Directors within AIDS Service Organizations and People Living with HIV/AIDS Coalitions. He is an activist for the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and is co-founder of CPAVIH (the first HIV organization in Canada), Artists Against AIDS and is founder of the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt (Quebec Chapter) and Mosaik Now retired he spends his time writing, painting and photography. He is an accomplished artist in these fields and loves to jet set across the continent seeking new experiences to write and searching out subjects to paint. His adventures have taken him several criss-crosses across his homeland of Canada, as well as the United States, Cuba, Mexico, Ireland, Scotland and England. In 2004 and 2005 he was Writer in residence at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Gregg has received many honours, titles and recognition, not only for his writing but also for his indefatigable volunteer work he has devoted to his community. Gregg has been living with HIV for the past thirty years and has been reputed to say: "If I can survive in life as a victim of sexual, physical, emotional and psychological abuse as a child, then I can surely survive and live with HIV."
