Autorenporträt
Zion Turner is a nomadic truth seeker who spent his early twenties conducting independent studies on the effects of the transatlantic slave trade on the African American community. Zion's pursuit of truth is driven by his father, who after years of silently suffering with mental health issues, passed away in a drunk driving accident when he was just 5 years old. This tragedy fueled Zion's desire to return to his father's hometown to uncover the dark truth behind his father's experiences as a black man in America, which ultimately led to his premature death. When Zion's not traveling and learning, he enjoys playing pick-up basketball, listening to music, and playing fetch with his dog Otis. If you want to hear more from Zion he can be found on Instagram posting about a wide array of topics like love, loss, mental health, and the complex nature of the black experience.Instagram handle: @zionturner17https://www.instagram.com/zionturner17
